You will receive top notch services at most international airports, and all airports in India.

48 hours prior to departure, a Silk Route team member will contact you to ask for your seating preferences for your upcoming flight. We will do everything in our power to secure your preferred seating arrangements with respect to current availability. You will also be contacted by a Silk Route team member the day of your departure to determine your airport arrival time and all luggage you intend to bring. When you arrive, a member of our Guest Services Team will meet you at the airport terminal to assist you throughout the entire preflight process. We will also bring additional staff to handle the transportation of your luggage.

You will have access to special check-in lines at airport counters and exclusive entry to security and immigration checkpoint lanes (because our clients don’t wait in standard queues!). Regardless of your class of travel, you will also receive priority boarding. Cheers all around!

Upon arrival in Riga, Latvia, you will be greeted at the airport terminal by another member of the Silk Route Guest Services Team as well as a staff member who speaks your native language. Once all airport formalities (Border Control, Customs, & Baggage Claim) are completed, we will escort you to your personal chauffeur.

You will receive accommodations exclusively in Riga’s finest 5 star hotels.
➢

You will enjoy luxury chauffeur services in a BMW, Mercedes, or Audi (who said we can’t have a little fun along the way?). Your chauffeur will escort you to complete all necessary paperwork and official business, including fingerprinting, photographs, and medical examinations.

When you return home, you will be greeted at the aircraft door by a Silk Route staff member who will personally guide you through special entries for Border Control and Customs. A staff member will also attend to your luggage and ensure all your belongings are accounted for. Once airport formalities are completed, we will escort you to your car.

Should you experience difficulties during any part of the process, Silk Route guarantees to shoulder the burden so that you don’t have to. We will see to it that all complications are taken care of as quickly as possible.

We have two “tracks” or programs for our clients. After meeting with you to determine the nature of your specific situation, our team of trusted lawyers will determine which track is best for you. Read on for information regarding each track.

Our fast track option consists of the following criteria

You will begin the process by meeting with our skilled team of lawyers; this can be done virtually or at one of our offices in the Netherlands, Riga, or Delhi. Our lawyers will assist in the development of an appropriate business based on your work experience and educational background. Because we are committed to keeping the control of the company in your hands to the maximum extent possible, we ask that you generate a list of five potential company names. Time to get creative!

Once business plans have been solidified and a name for the business has been chosen, your new company will be officially registered with you appointed as the Commercial Director, General Manager, or Principal Consultant. Congratulate yourself–you just became a boss!

Official documents will be prepared well before your departure by our head of Group Legal Affairs. We will also ensure all necessary appointments are made, including an appointment with The Office of Citizenship and Migration Affairs to get your fingerprints and photograph.
➢

When you arrive in Riga to apply for your residency permit, you will receive that VIP treatment we described above (5 star hotels, luxury chauffeur services, etc.)
➢

Our Legal Team will either bring your final documents to your hotel for signing, or you can complete this process at the Silk Route office in Riga. Please note that all documents will be handled directly by our trusted lawyers to ensure perfect discretion and a seamless process. You are free to sit back and relax while we take care of all that pesky paperwork.

Over the next 5 working days, your documents will be reviewed by relevant authorities, and a final decision will be made. Normally this process takes much longer than 5 days, but when you trust Silk Route to oversee your migration, we ensure all documentation is fast tracked–it’s one of the many ways we show our clients how much we appreciate them!

Once approved, another member of our Guest Services Team will escort you to The Office of Citizenship and Migration Affairs for final photographs and biometrics. You will then be taken to a local medical facility for a mandatory screening.
➢

By the twelfth day, your official ID will be ready for pick up at The Office of Citizenship and Migration Affairs.
➢

Queue the party music because you’re now officially a resident of the EU! Congratulate yourself for the new chapter you’ve just begun. Time to raise a toast to the beauty and excitement of new beginnings. Cheers!

Our normal track option offers the same end results while utilizing a slightly different path

The process begins the same way as the fast track option– you will meet with our team of lawyers (either virtually or at one of our locations) to determine the best business plan based on your educational background and work experience. Control of the company will be in your hands, so we will still need you to generate five potential names for your company.

Once business plans are decided upon, your company will be registered, and you will be appointed as the Commercial Director, General Manager, or Principal Consultant. Congratulations–you’ve still achieved boss status!
➢

Our head of Legal Group Affairs will prepare all official documents well in advance of your departure and send them to the Silk Route branch closest to you. You will need to visit that office to sign your paperwork.
➢

Once all documents have been finalized, a Silk Route Staff member will make an appointment at the closest Latvian embassy for the earliest possible date.
➢

When your date arrives, you will be accompanied by a Silk Route staff member to the embassy where your appointment will be held. Here you will submit your final documents.
➢

While you wait for your appointment date, you will be thoroughly educated and prepared by Silk Route trainers to answer any potential questions that might be asked during your appointment at the embassy. Take a deep breath; we’ll make sure you walk in feeling confident and at ease, and don’t forget, we’re coming with you! You will never face a single step of this process alone.
➢

After your appointment, the embassy will send your documents to Riga, Latvia for evaluation. This process can take up to fifteen days. Sit back and relax–all good things take time.
➢

Once The Office of Citizenship and Migration Affairs receives your documents, they will review them for approval. A decision will be made within twelve working days.
➢

Once approved, a Silk Route staff member will make another appointment at the nearest Latvian embassy. The purpose of this appointment is to obtain a Schengen Visa that permits you to travel to Riga, Latvia to complete the final steps of the process in person. Again, this is all taken care of by Silk Route staff. You just keep sitting back and relaxing.

Once the visa has been successfully issued, you will travel to Riga, Latvia to officially apply for your residency permit.
➢

When you arrive at the airport in Riga, you will be greeted by a Silk Route staff member and taken to a 5 star hotel (can you tell how important your comfort is to us?)

The following day, one of our Guest Services team members will personally escort you to The Office of Citizenship and Migration Affairs to have your final photograph and biometrics taken.
➢

By day four of your stay in Riga, you will be able to collect your official ID from The Office of Citizenship and Migration Affairs.
➢

Congratulations–you are now a resident of the EU! Time to give yourself a deserving pat on the back. Immigration is no small feat. What’s that famous quote by Vincent Van Gogh? “What would life be if we had no courage to attempt anything?”

Pricing:

At Silk Route, we believe that starting life anew shouldn’t break the bank! Our services are affordable, with a base price of only €6,000. Additional costs will be determined by each client’s education, work experience, nationality, age, and other factors that the client will specify on their questionnaire. As stated above, we deeply care about each person and their unique story. That’s why every step of the process, including pricing, will be tailored to each individual who trusts us with their transition.

You’re probably wondering, but what about my wife and kids?

We have good news! Your wife and kids are more than welcome to come along. The spouse of a new resident automatically qualifies for residency as a dependent; he/she is free to work without restrictions in Latvia. Children under the age of 18 also automatically qualify for residency. Time for a family group hug!
